SUMMARY:Basic Life Support Training
DESCRIPTION:Mark Wilcox (a retired doctor and member of the HWBKA committee) has arranged for Steven Rochester (Senior Resuscitation Officer\, Eastbourne DGH) to hold a teaching session for us. This will include Basic Life Support (BLS)\, anaphylaxis teaching and the use of an Automated Electronic Device (AED) for resuscitation. \nThis will be free of charge and will be held at the Horsted Green apiary at 10:00 on Saturday 5th April. DESCRIPTION:2024 Training Session 6: Bee Safari\n\n\n\nThis year we are offering members the chance to do a mini bee safari. There will be several bee safaris taking place. Please state on your form where you live and which day you would prefer. \nMalcolm will try and allocate you to a 'bee expert' who lives nearby. The idea is you will have the opportunity for a group to come and see your bees and you in turn will have the opportunity to see 2 other apiaries. \nThis is an opportunity not to be missed. People’s  knowledge grows exponentially after one of these safaris. Your 'bee expert' may take you to their own apiary if that is appropriate on the day. \nPlease do not worry about the state of your colony if you are having difficulties. The safari is for you to learn how better to manage your charges. And don’t think experienced beekeepers don’t have problems. We all do. However those who are experienced will probably have a solution or a way forward. Everyone who participates will learn so much. They will quadruple their knowledge at the very least. \n\nThe Team of 'bee experts':\n\nJo Groom\, Crowborough\n(almost a bee farmer and has countless colonies.
